7 Day NSS Camp at Village
The NSS unit of Govt NCJ College in collaboration with the Village Panchayat launched a cleanliness drive during seven-day NSS camp held at Argurkasa village. More than 70 volunteers participated in the camp. They cleaned lawns and parks of the village school. NSS programme officer, N K Kurre said the volunteers also cleaned the streets and disposed off the dirt and garbage scattered around. They went from door to door educating villagers regarding the importance of keeping their surroundings neat and tidy. The volunteers also warned the villagers about the hazards of environment pollution. “Everyone should grow a tree and preserve it, so that the fast depleting environment may be saved from further degradation,” said the organizers. The volunteers also staged a nukkad natak highlighting the importance of cleanliness. Sarpanch appreciated the efforts of the students to create awareness among the villagers regarding cleanliness.
